As the leader in Japan’s Tomato Juice, creative and up-to-date ideas are needed for standing out from other competitors. Social posts with colourful visuals are designed to reach more target audience. A redesign of its official website further repositioned its brand.

Chanllenge:

As this Hong Kong branch of the brand is positioned as child-friendly and targeting Hong Kong market, the main theme is cute cartoon style but with limited product visual assets and conservative and conflicting ideas from Japan HQ and HK branch. Visuals need to adequately change dramatically to keep the target audience engaged.
Website was not updated for years and the UI was obsolete. Given the different opinions from Japan and Hong Kong departments, the redesign project was at a higher difficulty.

Solution:

For website redesign, considering the brand is Japan-originated, a compact research on Japanese food and drinks websites were undergone to analyze the optimal layout for call-to-action and visual style. Without complex information architecture, the project started at brief wireframing and moved on to hi-fi prototyping within a one-month project timeline before developer handoff. The hi-fi prototype was detailed and carefully crafted so the client can have a clear picture of the new design for the out-of-date website.
