Goody Ecommerce

A Hong Kong startup e-commerce targeting local market. With dual-tone colour palette and tailored lovable assets, a full prototype is produced for the new web app project.

Chanllenge:

Within a short project timeline and tight budget, workflow is compressed such that wireframing and prototyping is started at mid-fi level. And with limited brand resources, the visual assets are quite laborious to produce.

Solution:

A condensed research on local e-commerce platforms and apps was undergone to analyze the common UI consumers interact with, followed by several subtle features for enhancing engagement based on UX principles. By adapting the mainstream e-commerce user flow, a hi-fi prototype was crafted and skipped the wireframing and low-fi prototyping. The duotone color palette was the main part for the category illustrations, which was further developed into a broader palette in the same tint. Minimal micro-interactions were implemented for smooth development handoff under tight deadlines, visual assets are constantly updating and discussed with the client and developer.
